ARK News: A Syrian Kurdish leader confirmed on Sunday, Turkey is more serious than ever in its threats to intervene militarily in the area between Gire Spi (Tel Abyadh) and Sari Kaniye (Rasul Ain) in Syrian Kurdistan.

Fouad Aliko, a member of the Political Committee of the Kurdistan-Yekiti Party-Syria, said that Turkey is more serious than ever before in intervening militarily, even if it is limited in the scope of what has been agreed with the US, that is, between the region stretching from Gire Spi and Sari Kaniye.

Aliko explained by saying: Because Erdogan in a domestic political situation is critical because of opposition pressure and investment to the issue of Syrian refugees and the impact on the internal economic situation. Consequently, a situation must be created to extract the refugee card from the hands of the opposition by establishing the safe zone or the peace corridor as he calls it in the hope of reducing the number of refugees.

On the requirements of the current stage in the Kurdish level, the Kurdish leader said: I think we missed what is needed, which is to unify the position and return to the Duhok 2014 understandings because of the intransigence of the PYD and its strong adherence to the unilateral decision and authority that failed all the initiatives that called for unity of the Kurdish rank.

Aliko held responsibility upon the PYD and the results of what might happen in full, as happened in Afrin, and said: As a result of closing their ears for all calls and voices of benevolence calling for unity and position, especially under the auspices of the three agreements between the Kurdish National Council in Syria, including President Masoud Barzani, who made every effort to make it a success, and the PYD made every effort to thwart it premeditated
