A congratulatory message from President Barzani to the Yezidi Kurds
ARK News: Kurdish prominent leader and President of the ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Masoud Barzani, has reaffirmed his support to the religious group of Yezidis.
Barzani made the remarks in a congratulatory message to the minority group on the occasion of their religious holidays known as Jamayi, in which, he also hoped that the Yezidis will celebrate their feast "in a calm and peaceful atmosphere."
"On the occasion of Jamayi Eid, I offer my congratulations to the Yezidi brothers and sisters in Kurdistan and beyond," he said in a statement.
The former president of the Kurdistan Region further reiterated his commitment to preserving the principles of peaceful coexistence among different religious and ethnic components living in the autonomous region.
