Pictures .. fire devour Afrin forests
The forests of a village in Shara town in the Kurdish region of Afrin, on October 3, 2019, were exposed to huge fires, resulting in devouring many forest trees and large areas of the forest.
The Civil Defense Teams (White Helmets) said on their official Facebook page: The forests of the village of Qara Tapa of Shara town were exposed to large fires, which devoured many forest trees in that forest. And added: The teams were able to put out the fires after the rescue teams rushed to the scene of the fire.
Forests and olive trees in the Afrin region are subject to intentional fires from time to time, according to Afrin residents. According to organizations and activists documenting abuses in Afrin, the armed factions and groups are deliberately doing so with the aim of trafficking firewood and destroying the infrastructure of the Afrin economy.
