ARK News: In a statement on Wednesday 25.09.2019, the so-called "Protection Committee of Hasaka" of the Democratic Union Party the (PYD) issued a circular to ban the movement of motorcycles throughout the province.
According to the statement that this action is due to the widespread cases of attacks against citizens, kidnappings, assassinations, theft and bombings and extortion.
Local activists see the statement as a clear acknowledgment by the PYD's administration of the chaos, insecurity in its areas of control, its inability to control these situations and the inability to provide security and safety within its areas of control.
