Turkey abandoned the military operation in Syrian Kurdistan, but on conditions
ARK News: The head of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Mustafa Shantop announced that Turkey would abandon conduct a military operation in Syria if the United States respected its commitments to create a "safe zone" in this region.
He told Sputnik: “If the area could be cleared without resorting to cross-border operations, it would have been great. We are working with countries to do this. However, if some countries manipulate overtime when cooperating with Turkey, Turkey will have to take all necessary measures to clear the region.
The head of the Turkish Grand National Assembly concluded: “Turkey does not pursue the goal of a cross-border operation, but Turkey will not allow its security to be destabilized along its border in this part of Syria. If this happens, Turkey has the right to take all measures to ensure border security, including the conduct of the military operation.
