After agreement on the names, Pederson works to determine the rules of work of the Constitutional Commission
ARK News: The Syrian government and the opposition agreed on the names of the members of the committee drafting a new constitution for Syria, and the Secretary-General of the United Nations announced of the existence of an agreement between all parties to the members of the Committee, and that the United Nations representative will participate for the purpose of completing the work within a short period of time.
"There is now agreement among all parties on the composition of the Syrian Constitution Committee, and Geir Peterson is working with the parties to define the rules of the committee's work, in the hope that it will be completed soon," UN Secretary-General Antonio Gonzales said.
Under the UN plan, which has the support of all members of the UN Security Council, a 150-member constitution committee will be formed and a draft of the new constitution for Syria to be the cornerstone of a new political process in Syria.
