Jeffrey: We will not allow the regime to return to Syrian Kurdistan

ARK News: US special envoy to Syria James Jeffrey announced that Washington will not allow the return of Syrian regime forces to the east of the Euphrates in Syrian Kurdistan.
“The United States took the necessary measures when the Syrian regime forces wanted to enter the northeast of the country, and we will continue our efforts in this regard, '' Jeffrey said in media statements yesterday.
The US envoy pointed out that Washington respects resolution 2254 of the United Nations Security Council, which requires a ceasefire throughout Syria, and that no force seeks to control territory under another force, including the Syrian regime.
