ARK News: A Human Rights Organization working to document violations in the Kurdish region of Afrin reported on its main page of Facebook yesterday 17/9/2019 that armed militias belonging to various factions invented a new type of tasks in their dictionary that is kidnapping number of Kurdish citizens from the Kurdish region of Afrin for fabricated charges to force them to pay the ransom.

The Human Rights Organization in Afrin said that armed militias of Suleiman Shah faction under the command of Mohammed al-Jassim nicknamed Abu Amsha on Sunday 15/09/2019, kidnapped of the elderly Kurdish citizen Ali Aref Hamid Ja’far nicknamed (Agha) 65 years and from the village of “Chaqala Jêrin” of Shiye town and led him to the security headquarters and beat and tortured brutally and force him to pay $ 10,000.

The Organization said in its report that a group of armed elements of the so-called civilian police in Jenderes town on 15/09/2019, kidnapped the Kurdish citizen Mannan Abdo 17 years of the southern neighborhood of the town on charges and false arguments and beaten and tortured severely in front of the people, then he was taken to anonymous place.

The Organization added that on Saturday 14/09/2019, an armed group belonging to Al Shamiya Front kidnapped the Kurdish citizen Hamid Suleiman, his wife and daughter from the village of Birka and took them to the security headquarters in order to collect the ransom by force.

It is worth mentioning that since the taking over of Turkish army and the armed factions and groups Afrin region, kidnappings campaigns against Kurdish civilians continue with false pretexts, to force them to pay the ransom in exchange for their release.
