Jeffrey: US troops will remain in Syrian Kurdistan indefinitely
ARK News: The US special envoy to Syria, James Jeffrey, confirmed that his forces will remain in Syria indefinitely, and America is determined to prevent the Syrian regime and its allies from achieving what they wanted to control the whole of Syria.
Jeffrey in an interview with the agency "North Press" on Monday, said that "the United States sees the battle with the organization is long and prolonged, so it intends to keep a number of troops indefinitely in Syria, so that the US does not create any exit capacity of the extremist organizations to return to target the Syrians, and to take Syria as a springboard to spread extremism in the world. "
Jeffrey added that "the indicators monitored by the United States in the recent period leads them to stick to stay where the extremist organization shows a willingness and efforts to return to the experience of building a state within a country from the start of lightning operations.
"The United States sticks to its priorities not to leave Syria as a safe haven for Iran and its militias," Jeffrey continued, stressing that "the United States is committed to preventing Assad and his allies from achieving what they wanted to gain control of Syria through a military solution," he said, that it was "a failure."
