Settlement of Arab refugees is the main focus of the ENKS meeting in Qamishlo

ARK News: In the presence of the majority of members, the sub-council of Al-Hilaliya neighborhood of the Western Local Council of the Kurdish National Council in Syria on Friday 13/9/2019 held its regular meeting in the city of Qamishlo in Syrian Kurdistan. Kamiran Ibrahim, a member of the Western Local Council in Qamishlo, chaired the meeting.

The meeting started with a minute of silence on the souls of the martyrs of Kurdistan, especially the immortal (Mulla Mustafa Barzani) and then Ibrahim welcomed the members and thanked them for their efforts and attendance at the meetings. He then talked about the difficult living situation in Syrian Kurdistan and the current political situation in the region.

Kamiran Ibrahim stated to the ENKS website: “What is going through the region and Turkey's attempt to change the region demographically by resettling refugees in Kurdish regions and cities raises concern and calls for thinking to find a solution formula as soon as possible to save the Kurdish issue from a new disaster.

At the end of the meeting, a preliminary agenda was drawn up and a plan of action for the future activities of the local council was established, such as holding seminars, lectures and working among the public.
