ARK News: It is planned to establish an independent unit of drones in the Turkish army.

The unit is expected to be stationed at the Turkish-Syrian border.

The unit, to be built in 2020, will include KARGU drones manufactured by Turkish STM. The Hurriyet newspaper quoted Murat Ekinci, general manager of STM, that the KARGU aircraft will play a pivotal role in the military operations in the east of the country and at the Turkish-Syrian border.

According to the general manager of the aircraft manufacturer, the unit will include 30 aircraft equipped with artificial intelligence, which enables it to distinguish the "enemy" from "friend." It has a range of 15 kilometers.
