A fourth sortie was of Turkish planes in Syrian airspace in the framework of the safe area
ARK News: Turkish helicopters carried out a fourth sortie with US helicopters, in the airspace of Syrian Kurdistan, as part of the first phase of the establishment of the safe zone along the border.
Four Turkish and US helicopters took off from the Joint Operations Center in the district of (Akcakale) the Turkish province of (Şanlıurfa) to carry out the fourth joint helicopter flight, Anatolia news agency reported on Thursday.
The agency said that the fourth sortie was part of the first step to establish the safe zone east of the Euphrates.
The Turkish army and US forces earlier carried out three joint sorties with helicopters, as part of the steps to establish a safe area on the northern border of Syria.
