Rodco's clouds choke Qamishlo and the specter of diseases threatens
ARK News: Since a period of time and the people of Qamishlo city in Syrian Kurdistan suffer from the smell of waste burning and which are causing the diseases, especially children.
The residents of Al-Hilaliya neighborhood in Qamishlo city on Wednesday morning renewed their call on the PYD to find a solution to the waste problem in the landfill near Rodco.
According to the residents, they filed complaints to the PYD and met with officials of local councils and municipalities, but the promises they made have not been fulfilled so far, adding that diseases are spreading among children in Al-Hilaliya neighborhood due to smoke columns resulting from burning waste in the landfill daily, accusing the PYD of procrastination and failure to implement appropriate health measures to protect the residents of the neighborhood from waste and damage caused.
There are feeding wells water to the neighborhoods of the city of Qamishlo near the landfill, according to local sources, four wells in the Hilaliya station stopped working due to fears of the leakage of waste residues.
