The story of the young Alaa Hasan .. "When the innocent becomes accused"
ARK News: Alaa Hasan Youssef, a young man from the village of Kalhe in Derik area of Syrian Kurdistan who is a resident in Germany and sentenced to 9 and a half years, after being accused by a German court of murder.
Alaa’s father Hasan Youssef talks about his son's trip to Germany saying: “My son Alaa, like other Kurdish youth, immigrated to Germany in 2015 with the greatest difficulty, after he finished language courses and practiced the barbering career for some time there, then he visited us at Fayida camp in the Kurdistan region of Iraq at the beginning of the eighth month in 2018. After he stayed with us for about a month, he returned to his city “Chemnitz” in the eastern part of Germany. He wanted to leave the city because of the Right-Wing treatment against immigrants.
And about the murder, his father says: "There were fierce quarrels between the neo-Nazis and immigrants near the place of my son Alaa and unfortunately he was there in a restaurant near the scene, one of the Nazis was killed and another was injured in these violent altercations, as a result, Alaa was arrested as one of those arrested, although there was no conclusive evidence that he had committed such a crime, the German court, having remained in custody for about 7 months, held 12 trial sessions and decided to charge him with the crime and remain in prison for 9 and a half years, only on Lebanese refugees testimony said that he saw the incident from a distance of 60 meters and it was night time, note that it was very dark and that the Lebanese witness had changed his testimony for three consecutive times. "
He added: "In fact, if my son had committed this crime, he should have been imprisoned according to the known law, but the sad thing is that his conviction lacks the most basic rules of law as the real criminal is still at large, while judges saw the criminalization of my son for political and electoral reasons, and our hope remains in the defense lawyer who is still a defender of the case of Alaa professionally and is our hope after God. "
His father assisted that saying: "My son is innocent and this is also confirmed by the lawyer who defended Alaa when she said that if this case were in another German city, the sentence would have been different. "
The family of the young Alaa is confident that justice will take its course and reach the fact that Alaa is innocent of this charge, they also appeal to all who can help him in this case before the public through legal, human rights, humanitarian and media channels.
