Meeting of al-Gharbi Department of Local Councils of ENKS in Syria

ARK News: The al-Gharbi Department of Local Councils of the Kurdish National Council in Syria met its regular meeting before noon on Wednesday, 09.09.2019, in the presence of Mohsen Taher, head of the Office of Local Councils Affairs.

The meeting began with a minute of silence on the souls of the martyrs of the Kurds and Kurdistan, led by Barzani the immortal.

- In the organizational situation: The reports received from the Local Councils were read and responded to, and the heads of local councils were informed of the decisions issued by the General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, and the role of local councils among the masses regarding the developments and international and regional agreements on the Syrian arena was emphasized.

- As for the political situation: The Syrian situation in general and the Kurdish situation, in particular, were discussed.

Mohsen Taher then talked about the latest political developments, which focused on several key points as follows:

1. US-Turkish agreement on the safe area
2. The diplomatic efforts of the Kurdish National Council regarding the latest international developments and agreements on the Syrian arena.
3. Meeting of the delegation of the Office of Foreign Relations in the Kurdish National Council with representatives of the US State Department and Russian in Washington and Moscow.
4. Meeting of the delegation of the Presidency of the Council and the Office of Foreign Relations with representatives of the German Foreign Ministry.
5. Meeting of the delegation of the Presidency of the Council with the British delegation in Amouda

Kurdistan: Taher in his name and on behalf of the presidents of the councils congratulated the 73rd anniversary of the birth of leader Masoud Barzani and the birth of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, which happened on 16/8/2019.

At the end of the meeting, he praised the role and efforts of the leader Masoud Barzani regarding the Syrian crisis at the international level and his stand with the Syrian people in general and the Kurds in particular.
