Turkish army conducts of patrols on the international road Damascus - Aleppo

ARK News: The Turkish army on Sunday conducted a military patrol on the Damascus-Aleppo international road in northern Syria.

According to the activists, four vehicles, including two armored vehicles and about 25 Turkish soldiers, headed on the "international" road towards Idlib province accompanied by elements of the Free Syrian Army, while others deployed near the village of Kamari, south of Aleppo, amid tight security.

Activists said it was likely that the deployment would be aimed at exploring the site to establishing a new Turkish observation post in the region.

Turkey deploys checkpoints and conducts frequent military patrols in both Idlib and Aleppo as part of the Sochi agreement with Russia, some of them coincided with the recent military campaign of the Syrian regime, which took control of cities and towns north of Hama and southern Idlib near the checkpoints and under their eyes.
