The PYD halts the digging of tunnels and trenches in preparing to create a safe zone
ARK News: An informed source said that the PYD stopped processes of digging tunnels and trenches in a number of cities and towns of Syrian Kurdistan border of Turkey, in preparation for the establishment of a safe zone as agreed by the United States and Turkey.
A special source revealed to ARK News The PYD stopped all digging of tunnels and trenches in the city of Qamishlo, especially in the neighborhoods adjacent to the Turkish border, and a few of them remained in operation.
The source added that the suspension of drilling operations in the city of Qamishlo sparked controversy and panic among the people, and became complain and even stressed the inability of the PYD to protect them.
According to political analysts: This step by the PYD shows that the establishment of the safe zone came into effect according to the US-Turkish agreement, and the PYD will not have a role.
