Afrin... The abduction of a number of Kurdish civilians in Bulbul
ARK News: Armed factions in the Kurdish region of Afrin on Sunday 18 August 2019 abducted dozens of Kurdish civilians on charges of dealing with and serving previously with the PYD, while those factions demanded from families of kidnapers huge sums of money in exchange for their release.
The Human Rights Organization in Afrin in a report said that the civil police of the armed factions on Sunday 18 August 2019 kidnapped four Kurdish civilians from the village of Qastal Khidiriya of Bulbul town on charges of dealing and servicing with the former PYD and they demanded the families of the kidnapped 200-250 thousand Syrian pounds in exchange for the release of each person.
The four kidnapped from Qastal Khidiriya are:
1. Farid Hanan Rasho, 45, former head of the “Comin”
2. Sabri Mohammed Ibish 70 years old
3. Khabat Hanan 24 years old.
4. Abdo Abdo Hanan.
The Organization added: In the village of Abidane of Bulbul town on the same date, armed elements belonging to the faction "Siqour al-Jabal", a new jihadist group, mostly from the province of Idlib and Hama, kidnapped three Kurdish civilians on charges of dealing with the PYD:
1. Alan Ali Ibrahim
2. Mohammed Ali Ibrahim
3. Shero Ahmed Ibrahim.
Note that they were previously abducted by armed elements belonging to Siqour al-Shamal faction and released after being transferred to the city of Afrin for lack of sufficient evidence to convict them.
Local sources from Afrin reported on Sunday, 18 August 2019: that the regime's militants kidnapped four Afrin IDPs in the Shiite town of Nubil and demanded a financial ransom in exchange for their release, where they demanded the families of the kidnapped for 4000 US dollars for their release.
The four kidnapped are:
1. Khalosi Mohammed from Rajo town
2. Abdulrahman Rajab Alshawaq from Hammam village
3. Ezzo Khalid Rashid from Mabata town
4. Mohammed Ahmed Khalil from Shiye town
Note that the fate of those abducted by the armed factions in Afrin and the Syrian regime's militants in the town of Nubil remains unknown and no information about them is available at the time of writing this report.
