ARK News: The cities of Qamishlo, Amouda, and Hasaka in Syrian Kurdistan have been experiencing a severe water crisis for several days in conjunction with the severe heatwave that is passing through the region.

A source in Qamishlo city revealed to the ARK Media Foundation that drinking water is available in the areas controlled by the regime, while the PYD cuts off water to the Kurdish neighborhoods in the city.

The same source said that each of the PYD and Syrian regime are exchanging roles in the distribution of drinking water through the main sources on a daily basis, and it is noted that the day in which it controlled by PYD on drinking water source, and notes the availability of water in the areas controlled by the regime and disconnection in the rest of the Kurdish neighborhoods.

According to the source, the PYD has prevented tankers owners from selling and distributing drinking water to these neighborhoods on the pretext that they want to secure it themselves, but every three days barely secure it once.
