A citizen from Derik has been missing for 25 years
ARK News: About 25 years ago to the date today, contact was lost with Kanaan Abdel Karim Ali and no news of his fate. Kanaan is a resident of Ain Dewar village of Derik city in Syrian Kurdistan. He was born in 1967, married and has two children.
An Activist Shapal Ibrahim published on his page on Facebook that a former detainee Kanaan was disconnected on 18.10.1994 when he was going to a medical clinic in Derik, and his family contacted a former detainee several times in Tadmur prison and the prison authorities confirmed that their son's presence in the famous regime's Palmyra prison, and today’s date no news about him.
It worth mentioning that dozens of Syrian Kurds are in Syrian regime prisons, most of them unaccounted for without any trial.
