Washington: We have provided more than $ 9.6 billion in aid in Syria
ARK News: The US embassy in Damascus said on its Twitter, that the United States remains the largest provider of humanitarian aid in Syria, noting that it provided more than $ 9.6 billion in aid.
The embassy published a statement on Twitter, stressing that US funding supports various sectors in Syria, including emergency food assistance, shelter, drinking water, medical care, and sanitation.
The embassy clarified that US assistance programs support stabilization in northeastern Syria, including rehabilitating electricity for more than 1.5 million people, restoring infrastructure that serves more than 300,000 people and rebuilding 143 schools that provide education for 25,000 children.
The embassy noted that it had provided, in coordination with the coalition, more than $ 80 million of support for the destruction of conventional weapons in the liberated areas of "Da’esh" in northeast Syria, as well as mine clearance and mine risk education programs, are also supported.
