US Defense: We will prevent any Turkish incursion east of the Euphrates
ARK News: US Defense Secretary Mark Esper said on Tuesday that any Turkish operation in the eastern Euphrates would be "unacceptable" and the United States would prevent any unilateral incursion.
According to "Reuters" agency, "Esper" added to reporters accompanying him during his visit to Japan, that his country considers that "any unilateral move from the Turkish side will be unacceptable.”
“Esper” continued that what he will do is the prevent any unilateral incursion that would affect the common interests of the United States and its allies.
This came after the second round of talks on the establishment of a safe area east of the Euphrates which was held on Monday between US and Turkish military officials in the Turkish capital Ankara.
