Nori Brimo: The safe area, re-experience of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq

ARK News: A leader in the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria revealed that the safe area will be established whether the PYD wants or not, and the depth of the safe area will be 32 kilometers.

During his participation in ARK bulletin, a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria, Nori Brimo said: “The depth of the safe area which the PYD claimed is rejected by all parties and the PYD is not included in the calculations during the talks on the safe area to be established in the east of Euphrates.”

A member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria added: “The safe area will become a reality, and it is in the interest of the Kurds that the safe area to be established under the supervision of America, the best option for the Kurds is to prepare for the management of the safe area politically and militarily, because what is being prepared in Syrian Kurdistan is to re-experience the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.”

Regarding the participation of the Kurdish National Council in Syria in the talks of Astana, Brimo said: “Because the PYD is not entitled to participate in the talks at the international level, and no international party recognizes its existence, thus, the PYD describes the participation of the Kurdish National Council in those talks as a betrayal of greatness.”
