Aliko: There will be no role for the PYD in the safe zone

ARK News: A leader of the Kurdistan Yekiti Party – Syria said that the PYD would have no role in the safe area to be built in the east of the Euphrates.

During his participation in the ARK Bulletin, Fouad Aliko, a member of the political committee of the Kurdistan Yekiti Party - Syria said: There is not any international party pays attention to the PYD, and it is certain that the role of the PYD in the safe area to be established in East Euphrates will be non-existent because the international parties have not and will not negotiate with the PYD about the safe area.

Aliko added that "there are fundamental differences between America and Turkey about the depth of the safe area and the parties that will manage that region, and direct talks between Turkish and US officials are still ongoing and the parties have not reached a final agreement yet.

A member of the Political Committee of the Kurdistan Yekiti Party - Syria that Turkey rejects the idea to participate the PYD in the management of the safe area, and if it is agreed that the depth of the safe area (32) km, then the PYD will not have any role in the Kurdish areas in particular, and Syria in general.
