Writers Union of Syrian Kurdistan awards annual prize to the writer Bewar Ibrahim

The Writers Union of Syrian Kurdistan awarded this year's annual prize to female writer Bewar Ibrahim at a ceremony held in its office in the Qamishlo city in Syrian Kurdistan, on Monday 29.07.2019 amid the presence of a group of writers, intellectuals and politicians.

Bewar Ibrahim, born in Girbawiye village of Qamishlo city in 1973. She has three books (poetry in Arabic and poetry in Kurdish, in addition to a Kurdish novel), and she has another book in the press.

The Union awarded the first prize to the late poet Ahmed Sheikh Saleh and the second prize to the late poet Farhad Ajamo and the third writer to Marwan Barakat.
