A delegation from the National Council representative meets the management of Pish Khabour crossing
ARK News: A delegation from the Kurdistan Region representative met on Saturday, 27/7/2019, with the administration of the Pish Khabour crossing the prominent issue of Kurdish refugees in the Kurdistan Region and how to coordinate among them to find the appropriate solution and remove deficiencies and gaps and the establishment of appropriate solutions and provide facilities for visits and return, as well as for Kurds living in Europe was one of the most important discussions of the meeting.
The delegation of the Kurdish National Council representative was headed by Mr. Abdul Karim Mirani, the official of the representative and members of the representative included (Nawaf Rashid .. Raman Mullah .. Diyar Mustafa .. Barzan Mar’ i) the delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Shawkat Barbuhari, the Pish Khabour crossing director.
In the beginning, Mr. Abdul Karim Mirani, the official representative of the Kurdish National Council spoke on the importance of strengthening the relationship between the Council and the management of the Pish Khabour crossing in order to reach the highest level of coordination between them within the Kurdistan Region.
Mirani stressed the importance of the role of the crossing, thanking President Masoud Barzani and the government and people of the Kurdistan Region, and the management of the crossing which provided and are providing services and facilities to the Syrian refugees, where the crossing is the only outlet connecting between Syrian Kurdistan, and Kurdistan of Iraq, and what had provided of humanitarian and emergency cases of the Kurdish areas in Syrian Kurdistan from aid and medical supplies and the delivery of all services and assistance through it.
In his turn, Mr. Shawkat Barbuhari, Director of the Pish Khabour crossing, welcomed the delegation of the National Council of Kurdistan, expressed his happiness with this visit, and praised the role of the Council and the Representative towards the facilities and services provided to Syrian refugees.
Barbuhari stressed that the Syrian Kurds refugees are our brothers and this is a duty on our shoulders and as President Barzani said that they are on their land and among their brothers and seek to provide all facilities and find better mechanisms.
Barbuhari added at the end of the meeting the importance of finding ways of joint work and the field follow-up for the refugees' requirements, and to find mechanisms and quick and efficient solutions to raise the level of services provided to our Kurdish refugees living in the Kurdistan Region.
