How many Syrian refugees are in Germany?

ARK News: According to official German statistics, Syrians constitute the largest proportion of refugees in Germany.

The Federal Statistics Office issued statistics on the number of Syrian refugees in Germany until the end of 2018.

In a statement which published by the office on its official website, on Thursday, July 18, said that "the number of Syrian refugees in Germany reached 526,000, which formed the largest number of refugees in the country, according to statistics on the number of Syrian refugees in Germany until the end of 2018.”

According to the statistics, the number of refugees in Germany is 1.8 million refugees, 71% of whom came in the last five years, 62% came from three countries: Syria (526,000), Iraq (138,000) and Afghanistan (131,000), and those numbers include those who have the right to protection only.

It is worth mentioning that Germany is considered also the most destination of the Syrian Kurds refugees among the European countries.
