Garbage smell sweeps Qamishlo, and the PYD is not interested

ARK News: Due to poor services by the PYD, citizens of Qamishlo city in Syrian Kurdistan suffer from the smell of the garbage being close to them and ask the PYD to change its place and provide services for the city.

A special source told ARK News that the garbage is being collected in the city of Qamishlo in a site called "Rotco garbage collector", near the reservoir of water wells, which feeds all of Qamishlo with clean water, and is only about one kilometer away from Hilaliya neighborhood.

He added: The citizens in Qamishlo city suffer from the bad smell caused by the burning of garbage, especially residents of the neighborhood of Hilaliya near the mentioned site, as well as patients who suffer from respiratory diseases, "asthma and bronchitis," which is being a major cause of cancer, and in the winter it drifts by rain which approaches the wells of clean water and as a result the water of those wells is contaminated.

The source confirmed that the residents of Hilaliya neighborhood are very upset, where they have repeatedly asked the PYD to change the garbage collection site, but to no avail.
