Afrin ... An armed group kidnaps two Kurdish citizens

ARK News: A Human Rights Organization which is working on documenting violations in the Kurdish region of Afrin said that an armed group kidnapped two Kurdish citizens and their fate is still unknown.

The Human Rights Organization in Afrin today on 19/7/2019 in a report reached a copy of it to the ARK Media Foundation copy reported that: “Armed militias of Jabha Al-Shamiya faction kidnapped the peasant Mustafa Khalil Mohammed who is 50 years old and his son Mohammed 24 years old in Maeriske Village of Shara town, and they took them to an unknown destination so far, on the grounds that his son was joined the service in compulsory recruitment with the previous administration and demanding them to pay a ransom for their release.

The organization added that the militias who kidnapped the two Kurdish civilians are from the village of Mar’naz of Izaz city, which is now controlled by the PYD militants.

The Organization also said that Ahmed Bashir Khalil was kidnapped on 9/7/2019 who is from the same family and for the same charge, and his fate is unknown to this day.

It is noteworthy that Afrin region witnessed daily violations by Islamic factions, such as cases of kidnapping, physical extortion and armed robberies for demographic change.
