Afrin .. The theft of water and electricity equipment worth in millions of Syrian pounds

ARK News: A Human Rights Organization working on documenting violations in the Kurdish region of Afrin said that unidentified militias colluded with the armed robbers carried out the theft of the vertical water pumps and iron pipes of the wells which owned by Kurdish peasants in Shara town, and some Sultan Murad militias also stole cables of landlines in the villages of Barava and Chama in the town itself.

Some unidentified persons in collaborated with armed militias at various checkpoints scattered around the Shara town carried out the theft on 04/07/2019 of vertical water pumps and iron pipes used to pump water from the wells to each of the following citizens:

1. Yusuf Ibrahim (Kabso), his well is located near the shrine of Qara Jurne.
2. Abdul Mannan Ali (Hisko), his well is located on the road of the Gabalake village of Shara town.
3. Farid Mannan Jalousi, his well is located in the plain of Khirbet Shara.
4. Abdul Samad Gabalak, his well is located on the road of Gabalake village of Shara town.

The Organization clarified saying: "The price of the pump today ranges between $ 1,800 to $ 2,500 except for the price of steel pipes, and the process of dismantling the pump, which takes time between 2-3 hours, provides three workers, a mobile crane (Blanco) and a medium-sized truck, in addition to the financial fees paid by the citizens to the local council for the town of 10,000 Syrian pounds and the imposition of royalties by the leaders of the Hanish faction (Abu Bilal Abu Ghazi) worth 500000 Syrian pounds. They also stole, almost a week ago, the optical dots installed in the alleys, the public streets surrounding the area and the villages of Khirbet Shara and Sinka. "

It is worth mentioning that violations by the armed factions loyal to the Turkish army against civilians in Afrin region continue such as taxes, kidnappings, ransom, burning forests for firewood, and accusing the Kurds in order to extort them financially to reach a comprehensive demographic change after forcing the Kurds to leave their homes.
