Aldar Khalil: The farmer had to remain in the custody of his land ten days a day and night

ARK News: The leader of the Democratic Society Movement TEV-DEM of the PYD, Aldar Khalil blamed the farmers for not guarding and monitoring their land, and if they did so, the fires that hit crops would not be so high.

"Every farmer could have guarded his land and crop, would it have ruined the world if we had not gone to our homes for ten days and slept among the land to guard the crops?" Khalil said in a media statement on Tuesday.

Khalil also blamed those who reached fires at their houses saying, "Why did not you clean surroundings of your houses for fires?"

Since the beginning of the harvest and until now, the fires have affected about 500 thousand dunums in the areas of Kurdistan of Syria, and Salman Baroudo, head of the economy and agriculture department in the PYD administration, who said that their potential was limited and could not compensate those affected.
