Homs: Israeli missile strike on T4 military airport
ARK News: The Syrian regime announced on Monday 3/6/2019 that it had been exposed to an attack by a missile at the T4 military airport in the countryside of Homs.
The regime media said that the air defenses had responded to those attacks, which were confirmed to be from Israel.
The attack resulted in the initial proceeds of the killing of a soldier and wounding two others, in addition to the damage to warehouse ammunition and caused damage to other material and some buildings.
The Syrian Air Force news agency quoted from a military source as saying that the air defenses destroyed "two missiles from the missiles that targeted the T4 airport", whereas other missiles hit the airport.
For its part, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the Israeli Air Force raided the airport, "which has warehouses and military bases belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards."
The Observatory added that the raid resulted in "killing at least 5, including a member of the regime forces, and wounded others with varying degrees of damage, Pointing out that "the number of those killed could raise for the presence some of the wounded in serious cases, in addition to information about the deaths of others."
According to the Syrian regime, these Israeli air strikes are the second of its kind targeting Syrian territory within 24 hours.
Israel launched air strikes on Sunday on sites in southern Syria, killing 10 people, three soldiers of the Syrian regime forces and seven militias loyal to the regime forces of non-Syrian nationalities, and this is the second bombing of this type in a week.
The Israeli army, which rarely confirms air strikes in Syria that the shelling came in response to the launch of two rockets from the Syrian territory in the direction of Mount Hermon in the Golan Heights occupied by Israel. The Syrian regime confirmed killing of three soldiers of its forces, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported 10 dead, three Syrians and seven fighters loyal to the regime of non-Syrian nationalities.
In recent years, Israel has repeatedly bombed positions of the Syrian regime's army, Iranian targets and the Lebanese Hezbollah in Syria.
These developments come amid tensions between the United States and Iran.
