Afrin: Killing a Kurdish civilian and three others wounded by armed groups militias

ARK News: A Kurdish civilian was killed and a number of others were wounded yesterday 28.5.2019 by internal fighting between pro-Turkish armed groups in Afrin countryside, Kurdistan of Syria.

According to a source from the Jenderes town: “The violent clashes took place between the movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and Jaysh al-Sharqiya in Jenderes town in rural Afrin, which resulted in the death of a citizen Suleiman Silo Tobal 40 years old with a stray shot while he was in his shop, while three others were wounded”.

The Human Rights Organization in Afrin mentioned in its main site that “the body of the victim was moved towards the building of the representative of the Turkish government by his relatives, promising to put an end to the anarchic situation created by the pro-Turkish armed factions, which are carrying out its decisions under the provisional government of Syria and the National Coalition of Revolutionary and Opposition Forces, and the Turkish representative pledged to hold a meeting the following day with his late relatives, friends, and representatives of the town to discuss the situation and listen to their demands”.

"The Organization said that “we have already referred to the chaos created by these armed militias and the lack of security and stability of citizens as a result of their inhumane actions in their dealings with the indigenous population, and we also conveyed the demands of the people in Afrin region to the Turkish government, which are several fundamental points to solve the problems of the region”

It is worth mentioning that “the Jenderes town is in a state of great anger and resentment by the practices of the armed militias in the rivalry on the property and livelihood of Kurdish residents in Afrin”.
