ARK News.. The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, welcomed the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK)’s decision to lay down arms, describing it as another important and joyful step toward advancing the peace process.
In a statement issued on Friday, 11 July 2025, Nechirvan Barzani reaffirmed the Kurdistan Region’s full commitment to supporting the success of the peace process, expressing readiness to provide all necessary assistance and facilities and to fulfill any responsibilities in this regard.

We welcome today’s step by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) to lay down arms, in a ceremony held in the Kurdistan Region attended by the leadership of the Democratic Party (Dam Party), representatives of the Kurdistan Region, Turkish politicians, dignitaries, and media.
This is another important and encouraging step toward making the peace process a success. We are confident it will move the process into a new stage and will be followed by practical steps advancing it in the right direction.
On this occasion, we reaffirm our full commitment to supporting and contributing to the success of the peace process. As always, we stand ready to provide all necessary assistance and facilities and to carry out any responsibilities that fall to us in this regard.
The peace process is taking place at a sensitive time in a delicate regional context that demands all parties make every effort to achieve lasting peace. Peace is a victory for everyone, and its success will benefit Turkey, the entire region, and all parties involved.
Our thanks, appreciation, and respect to President Erdogan for his initiative, support, and efforts to make the peace process succeed. We also acknowledge the roles of Mr. Bahchali, Mr. Ocalan, and all those working to ensure the success of peace.

President Barzani Receives Delegation from the Party of Equality and Peoples’ Democracy (DEM Party)
ARK News.. President Masoud Barzani affirmed that the steps taken within the peace process are important moves in the right direction.
On Friday, President Barzani received a high-level delegation from the Party of Equality and Peoples’ Democracy (DEM Party) and several political figures at Salahuddin Resort.
During the meeting, the visiting delegation expressed its deep appreciation for President Barzani’s prominent, national, and strategic role in supporting the peace process, urging him to continue playing his vital and pivotal role throughout this historic initiative.
The delegation also conveyed a message and request from Abdullah Ocalan, inviting President Barzani to visit him.
President Barzani emphasized that the peace process requires patience and careful work to achieve the desired results, noting that "ten years of dialogue is better than one hour of war."
He underlined that problems cannot be solved through fighting and violence, but through political struggle, dialogue, acceptance of others, and diplomacy.
President Barzani confirmed that he would spare no effort to ensure the success of the peace process. Regarding the request to visit Ocalan, he stated that such a visit would take place when conditions are appropriate. He also called on all Kurdish political parties to support the peace process in Turkey.

رحّب رئيس حكومة إقليم كوردستان، بعملية السلام والخطوة الأولى لها والمتمثلة في نزع سلاح حزب العمال الكوردستاني " PKK".
قال مسرور بارزاني رئيس حكومة إقليم كوردستان في منشورٍ على منصة (إكس): "أرحب بعملية السلام والخطوة الأولى المتمثلة في نزع سلاح حزب العمال الكوردستاني".
وأضاف رئيس حكومة إقليم كوردستان: "آمل أن يلتزم الجميع بتحقيق السلام الحقيقي وأن يبدأ عصر جديد من التعايش والسلام".
وبادر ثلاثون مقاتلاً من حزب العمال الكوردستاني، بينهم نساء، بتنفيذ عملية إلقاء السلاح في مراسم قرب مدينة السليمانية في إقليم كوردستان، بعد شهرين من إعلان مقاتلي الحزب إنهاء أربعة عقود من نزاع مسلّح ضد الدولة التركية خلّف أكثر من 40 ألف قتيل.
وخلال المراسم الرمزية التي أُقيمت اليوم الجمعة 11 تموز 2025، ألقى 30 مقاتلاً من رجال ونساء في حضور ما يزيد على 300 شخص، بنادق ورشاشات في حفرة وأضرموا فيها النار.

رحب رئيس إقليم كوردستان بالخطوة التي أقدم عليها حزب العمال الكوردستاني بالقاء السلاح في مراسم حضرها قادة من الحزب ومن اقليم كوردستان وعدد من السياسيين والاعلاميين المحليين والدوليين.

نرحب بالخطوة التي اتخذها اليوم حزب العمال الكوردستاني (PKK) بشأن إلقاء السلاح، وذلك في مراسم أقيمت في إقليم كوردستان حضرتها قيادة (دام بارتي) وممثلو إقليم كوردستان وعدد من السياسيين والشخصيات ووسائل الإعلام التركية.
إنها خطوة أخرى مهمة ومفرحة باتجاه إنجاح عملية السلام. نحن واثقون أنها ستمضي بعملية السلام إلى مرحلة جديدة وستتبعها خطوات عملية تتقدم بالعملية في المسار الصحيح.
بهذه المناسبة، نؤكد التزامنا الكامل بدعم ومساندة إنجاح عملية السلام، ونحن مستعدون كما كنا دائماً لتقديم كل المساعدة والتسهيلات اللازمة وتنفيذ أي مهمة تقع على عاتقنا في هذا السياق.
عملية السلام تجري في وقت تمر فيه المنطقة بمرحلة ووضع حساس تتطلب من جميع الأطراف إلى بذل كل الجهود من أجل إنجاح السلام. فالجميع منتصر في السلام، ونجاح السلام يخدم تركيا وعموم المنطقة والأطراف كافة.

الرئيس بارزاني يستقبل وفدا من حزب المساواة وديمقراطية الشعوب "دەم پارتي"
أكّد الرئيس بارزاني على أن الخطوات التي اتُّخِذت ضمن عملية السلام هي خطوات مهمة في الاتجاه الصحيح.
استقبل الرئيس مسعود بارزاني، اليوم الجمعة في مصيف صلاح الدين، عدداً من الشخصيات السياسية ووفداً رفيع المستوى من حزب المساواة وديمقراطية الشعوب "دەم پارتي".
خلال اللقاء، عبّر الوفد الضيف عن إشادته وتقديره للدور البارز والقومي والاستراتيجي للرئيس بارزاني في دعم عملية السلام.
وداعياً الرئيس بارزاني إلى مواصلة أداء دوره الفاعل والمحوري في دعم هذه العملية التاريخية بمراحلها المختلفة.
ونقل الوفد رسالةً وطلباً من عبدالله أوجلان، دعا الرئيس بارزاني إلى زيارته.
من جانبه، شدد الرئيس بارزاني على أن الخطوات التي اتُّخِذت ضمن عملية السلام هي خطوات مهمة في الاتجاه الصحيح.
وأكّد الرئيس بارزاني أن عملية السلام تحتاج إلى الصبر والتدقيق من أجل الوصول إلى النتائج المرجوّة، وأن عشر سنوات من الحوار أفضل من ساعة حرب.
مبيناً في الوقت ذاته، أن المشاكل لا تُحلّ بالقتال والعنف، بل يجب الاعتماد على النضال السياسي والحوار وقبول الآخر والدبلوماسية.
وأشار الرئيس بارزاني إلى أنه لن يدّخر جهداً من أجل إنجاح عملية السلام.
وبخصوص طلب زيارة أوجلان، أعلن أنه سيتم إجراء الزيارة في الظروف المواتية، داعياً في الوقت ذاته جميع الأطراف السياسية الكوردستانية إلى دعم عملية السلام في تركيا.

Amuda: Kurdish Youth Movement Launches Awareness Campaign to Promote Civil Peace and Coexistence
ARK News.. As part of its efforts to strengthen a culture of civil peace and promote values of shared coexistence, the Kurdish Youth Movement on Thursday, 10 July 2025, launched a field awareness campaign in the city of Amuda in Syrian Kurdistan.
The campaign included distributing educational leaflets to citizens, shop owners, representatives of political parties, and local councils. The goal was to raise awareness of the dangers of hate speech, counter manifestations of extremism, and promote a culture of dialogue among society’s diverse components.

Peshmerga Forces Shoot Down Explosive Drone in Altun Kopri Sector
ARK News.. The Kurdistan Region’s Counter-Terrorism Directorate announced the downing of a drone near the Altun Kopri area.
In a statement on Friday, 11 July 2025, the Counter-Terrorism Directorate said:
“At 01:35 a.m. today, an explosive-laden drone was shot down near Peshmerga positions in the Altun Kopri sector of Kirkuk province.”
The Directorate added:
“Fortunately, no casualties were reported.”

KNC Delegation Meets with Kurdistan Region Presidency’s Syria File Official
ARK News.. A delegation from the Kurdistan Region Representation of the Kurdish National Council in Syria (KNC) met with the Head of the Public Relations Department in the Kurdistan Region Presidency, who also oversees the Syria file, to discuss the latest political developments in Syria in general and in Kurdish areas in particular.
The delegation from the KNC Representation’s Relations Committee visited the Kurdistan Region Presidency’s Diwan in Erbil and met with Dr. Hamid Darbandi, Head of the Public Relations Department and Syria File Official in the Presidency.
The KNC Representation delegation was led by Representative Office Head Asmahan Dawood, and included members Jadaan Ali, Shamsuddin Sharif, Wael Omar, and Ahmed Tammer.
During the meeting, they focused on recent developments on the broader Syrian political scene, with special attention to Kurdish issues.

إسرائيل تبني أكثر من 8 قواعد عسكرية شمالي القنيطرة

وأكد نائب محافظ القنيطرة أن: "الانتهاكات أدّت إلى حرمان السكان من استخدام نحو 6 آلاف هكتار من الأراضي الزراعية والمراعي، وكثير من العائلات التي تعتاش على تربية المواشي فقدت مصدر رزقها".
