أردوغان: إجراء الانتخابات التشريعية والرئاسية بموعدها في 14 مايو المقبل
قالت هيئة الكوارث والطوارئ التركية، اليوم الأربعاء، إن عدد القتلى في تركيا جراء الزلزال المدمر الذي ضرب البلاد الشهر الماضي ارتفع إلى 45,089، ليرتفع العدد الإجمالي لقتلى الزلزال في تركيا وسوريا إلى حوالي 51 ألفا
أعلن الرئيس التركي، رجب طيب أردوغان، الأربعاء، أن الانتخابات الرئاسية والبرلمانية ستجرى في موعدها المحدد في 14 مايو.
وقال أردوغان في كلمة أمام برلمانيين من حزب العدالة والتنمية الحاكم في أنقرة، إن "هذه الأمة ستفعل ما يلزم يوم 14 مايو إن شاء الله". وكان يشير إلى التاريخ الذي ذكر في السابق أن الانتخابات ستجرى فيها.
وأثيرت الشكوك بشأن إمكانية إجراء الانتخابات في موعدها، بعد الزلزال المدمر الذي ضرب تركيا وسوريا في 6 فبراير، وأودى بحياة الآلاف، وشرد الملايين من الأشخاص.
وكان من المقرر إجراء الانتخابات في يونيو المقبل، وهو الموعد الأصلي، قبل أن يتم تقديمها إلى مايو تجنباً للعطلات في يونيو، لكن الزلزال خلط حسابات الحكومة.
وبعد أيام من الزلزال، قال مسؤول تركي إن الكارثة تسببت في وجود "صعوبات جمة" أمام إجراء الانتخابات في موعدها، لكن مقربين من أردوغان قالوا إن الحكومة لم تعد تؤيد فكرة التأجيل، وفق "رويترز".
وذكر مسؤول حكومي للوكالة أن هناك أسباباً عدة أدت للتراجع عن فكرة التأجيل، منها الاعتقاد بأن الحكومة تتجنب الانتخابات من جهة، وردّ الفعل السلبي من المعارضة على مقترح التأجيل من جهة أخرى، إلى جانب المسائل القانونية المتعلقة بالدستور.

قالت هيئة الكوارث والطوارئ التركية، اليوم الأربعاء، إن عدد القتلى في تركيا جراء الزلزال المدمر الذي ضرب البلاد الشهر الماضي ارتفع إلى 45,089، ليرتفع العدد الإجمالي لقتلى الزلزال في تركيا وسوريا إلى حوالي 51 ألفا.
كما تسبب الزلزال والهزات القوية اللاحقة في إصابة أكثر من 108 آلاف شخص في تركيا وإيواء الملايين في خيام أو سعيهم للانتقال إلى مدن أخرى.
وتعهد الرئيس رجب طيب أردوغان بإعادة بناء المنازل في غضون عام، لكن الأمر سيستغرق عدة أشهر قبل أن يتمكن الآلاف من مغادرة الخيام أو السكن داخل حاويات بضائع والطوابير اليومية للحصول على الطعام والانتقال إلى مساكن دائمة.
وأكثر من 160 ألف مبنى تركي بما يضم 520 ألف شقة انهارت أو تضررت بشدة في الكارثة، وهي الأسوأ في تاريخ البلاد الحديث.
وقالت الإدارة في بيان إن نحو مليونين فروا من المنطقة التي تعرضت لأكثر من 11 ألف هزة ارتدادية منذ الزلزال الأول.
وقالت إنها أقامت أكثر من 350 ألف خيمة، مع إنشاء مدن من الخيام في 332 مكانا في جميع أنحاء المنطقة. وتم إنشاء مساكن من الحاويات في 162 مكانا.
وقال المدير العام لمنظمة الصحة العالمية، تيدروس أدهانوم غيبريسوس، أمس الثلاثاء، إن المنظمة ستدعم أنقرة في استجابتها للزلزال.
وقال تيدروس إن تركيا "تبذل قصارى جهدها" لكنها لا تزال بحاجة إلى دعم دولي لمساعدة الضحايا.

الدفاع البريطانية ترجح نفاد مخزون روسيا من المسيرات المستخدمة في أوكرانيا
في يوم جديد من عامها الثاني، تتواصل العملية العسكرية الروسية على الأراضي الأوكرانية، اليوم الأربعاء، حيث يحاول الجيش الروسي بسط السيطرة على مزيد من الأراضي، فيما تستمر قوات كييف في المقاومة بدعم لوجستي وعسكري من الدول الغربية.
وفي آخر التطورات الميدانية، أعلنت أوكرانيا تصدي دفاعاتها الجوية لصاروخ روسي في بولتافا وإسقاط 5 مسيرات في هذه المدينة الواقعة شمال شرقي البلاد.
يأتي ذلك فيما رجحت وزارة الدفاع البريطانية نفاد مخزون روسيا من الطائرات المسيرة، التي تستخدمها في عمليتها العسكرية الجارية حاليا في أوكرانيا. وأشارت الوزارة في تقرير إلى انخفاض وتيرة الهجمات الروسية بمسيرات في أوكرانيا خلال الأسبوعين الماضيين. وأضاف التقرير أنه من المحتمل أن تسعى روسيا للحصول على إمدادات جديدة من الطائرات المسيرة.
وتزامنا، أكد مستشار القائم بأعمال رئيس جمهورية دونيتسك الشعبية أن دبابات "ليوبارد" شوهدت بمنطقة أرتيموفسك (باخموت)، مضيفاً أنها كهدف للجيش الروسي لا تختلف عن باقي المعدات العسكرية للعدو.
وقال غاغين في تصريحات، نقلتها وسائل الإعلام الروسية: "كانت هناك معلومات تشير إلى ظهور قطع من ليوبارد في منطقة أرتيموفسك"، مؤكدا أن هذه الدبابات ألمانية الصنع هي أهداف مدرعة "لا تختلف عن غيرها" وأن الأمر لا يستحق إثارة ضجة كبيرة حولها، وقال: "الطرق متوحلة في الوقت الحالي، وهذا سيعيق حركة المركبات الثقيلة مثل ليوبارد".
وكان وزير دفاع بولندا، وهي الدولة التي أعلنت تقديم ما يصل إلى 14 دبابة "ليوبارد 2" إلى كييف كجزء من مساعدات تحالف دولي، أكد في 24 فبراير الماضي أن دبابات من طراز "ليوبارد" وصلت بالفعل إلى أوكرانيا. ووعدت كل من ألمانيا وإسبانيا وكندا وفنلندا أيضا بتسليم هذه الدبابات إلى أوكرانيا.
وفجر الثلاثاء، اعترف الرئيس الأوكراني، فلاديمير زيلينسكي، بأن الوضع على محور باخموت صعبا للغاية.
وتقع مدينة باخموت في الجزء الذي تسيطر عليه قوات كييف من جمهورية دونيتسك الشعبية، وهي مركز لوجيستي مهم لنقل الإمدادات لمجموعة القوات الأوكرانية في دونباس.
وقال زيلينسكي في رسالته المصوّرة اليومية إن "أكبر المصاعب هي، كما في السابق، في باخموت.. روسيا لا تحصي رجالها على الإطلاق، إنها ترسلهم لمهاجمة مواقعنا بدون توقّف. المعارك لا تنفكّ تحتدم".
وكان الجيش الأوكراني قد أكد في وقت سابق الثلاثاء أن الوضع "متوتر جداً" حول باخموت، جبهة القتال الساخنة في شرق أوكرانيا.

ونقل مركز الإعلام الرسمي للجيش عن قائد القوات البرية الأوكرانية ألكسندر سيرسكي قوله إن "الوضع في محيط باخموت متوتر جداً".
وأكد أن مجموعة فاغنر الروسية شبه العسكرية موجودة على خط المواجهة في هذه المعركة، وتحاول "خرق دفاعات قواتنا ومحاصرة المدينة".
وعلى الرغم من اختلاف الخبراء بشأن أهميتها الاستراتيجية، تكتسب باخموت أهمية كبيرة من أجل السيطرة على منطقة دونباس الصناعية. وكان الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي الذي تفقد الجبهة في ديسمبر، أقسم بالدفاع عن هذه المدينة المحصنة "لأطول فترة ممكنة".

A Syrian refugee and her child died in a fire in the Arsal camp in Lebanon
ARK News… A Syrian woman and her child were killed, on Tuesday, when a fire broke out in one of the Arsal refugee camps in eastern Lebanon, on the border with Syria.
The Arsal camps include about 80,000 Syrian refugees, in addition to about 40,000 refugees in camps located on the outskirts of the town.
Eyewitnesses reported that a fire broke out in a camp for the displaced Syrians in the “Al-Shafaq” neighborhood in the town of Arsal.
They added that the fire led to a number of injuries, the burning of 5 tents, and the death of a mother and her child from suffocation after they sought refuge in a room adjacent to the burning tents.
Fearing the rapid spread of the fire, the residents appealed to the owners of the tanks to go directly to the camp to try to control it.
After the civil defense personnel were able to completely control the fire, it was found that the fire had surrounded the woman and her child.
They were transferred to “Awda Hospital” in Arsal, where they died, according to Anadolu Agency.
The number of Syrian refugees residing in Lebanon is about 1.5 million, according to official estimates, and most of them suffer from difficult living conditions, especially with the exacerbation of the economic crisis in the Arab country.

Fadi Mirhi: PYD is dissatisfied with the Barzani Charity Foundation's aid to Afrin

The Kurdish National Council calls on the PYD administration to stop intimidating citizens
ARK News... The General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria issued a statement regarding the kidnapping cases practiced by the militants of the Democratic Union Party against citizens in Syrian Kurdistan. ARK has received a copy of the statement, which reads:
An armed group affiliated with the Democratic Union Party (PYD), on Sunday 2-26 February, kidnapped the following citizens:
- Goran Abdul Baqi Azim
- Ahmad Abdul Razzaq Mulla Ahmad
- Saifuddin Hajj Muhammad
- Muhammad Saifuddin Hajj Muhammad
Where this armed (masked) group used violence and intimidation during the kidnapping, they covered the heads of the kidnapped and took them by force to an unknown destination.
The operation took place in front of citizens while they were working in the central market in Qamishlo, and their fate is still unknown.
This created a state of resentment among the citizens, especially since the operation coincided with the launch of campaigns of raids on public places and roadblocks with the aim of kidnapping young men and driving them for conscription.
The Kurdish National Council in Syria condemns in the strongest terms these arbitrary arrests of citizens and calls on the authorities of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) and its militants to stop intimidating citizens, reveal the fate of the abductees, and release them immediately.
