The tenth anniversary of the kidnapping of the lawyer Idris Alo, and he is still forcibly disappeared

ARK News: The tenth anniversary of the kidnapping of the political activist and member of the Area Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria (PDK-S), the lawyer Idris Alo in the Kurdish city of Afrin, who was kidnapped by the PYD militants after raiding his house in the city center of Afrin and took him to an unknown destination and his fate is still unknown.

About the life of Idris Alo:

A member of the Area Council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria (PDK-S) Idris Alo was kidnapped on 8 November 2013.

Idris Alo was born in 1968 and lived with his wife in the city of Afrin, Ashrafiya neighborhood. Since the beginning of the Syrian events, he has been against the Syrian regime, where he participated in several demonstrations. Alo worked in the legal profession besides his media activity, because of his remarkable activities among the rebellious youths, the PYD set his sights on liquidating him, and not long after, masked elements kidnapped him and took him to an unknown destination, and his fate remains unknown so far.

Idris Alo's family tried several attempts to find out his fate, but all attempts were not successful, and because of the refusal of the PYD’s administration in Afrin to charge it with kidnapping or arrest, the Asayish of the PYD also denied them, they said we have no one with this name.

In Syrian Kurdistan, many politicians and active cadres of PDK-S members were abducted illegally while still in forced detention and in poor conditions.
