ARK News: A large proportion of the people of Hasaka city prefer buying used clothes (second-hand clothes) in new clothes.
Shops of selling used clothing spread remarkably in the city, starting from the central market and widespread in all neighborhoods.
Maher Mohammed, the owner of a shop selling used clothes in Hasaka, said that people want second-hand clothes, there is a wide difference between prices. For example, the price of the new pants is 8 thousand Syrian pounds and the second hand pants is sold for 1000 pounds.
The shirt, which is manufactured from the national goods, is also sold for about 8,000 and we sell the used for about 700 pounds which are foreign goods and clean.
He added: There is a desire to buy from these goods, which enter the region from the Kurdistan Region coming from European countries.
One of the customers of the clothes said: "Originally the national apparel industry is made of the poor quality of materials or weakly taken away quickly with consumption, as well as the economic situation has an important role and the used clothes are much cheaper than the new national clothes.
While one of the visitors to a shop of used clothes about her preference for the second-hand clothes saying: "I prefer because they are cheaper and better in terms of quality and fineness, and that’s all."
