A member of the presidential body of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, Mr. Faisal Youssef told the ARK Foundation on Thursday 24/1/2019 that the meeting of the Parties of the Kurdish National Council in Syria in Qamishlo city was to explain and clarify what was discussed with President Masoud Barzani and some of the Kurdish Parties in the Kurdistan Region.

At the invitation of His Excellency President Masoud Barzani received on 10 January 2019 a delegation from the presidency of the Kurdish National Council and members of the Office of Foreign Relations, where the delegation listened to an explanation of the sovereignty of the emerging political situation, especially regarding the Syrian issue and the Kurdish areas in Kurdistan of Syria are exposed to dangers, and his sovereignty expressed his interest in the suffering of the sun of the Kurdish people and stressed his continued to make more diplomatic effort, which resulted in the easing of fears and threats to them He also expressed his satisfaction with the role of the Kurdish National Council in the political negotiation process and its vision for the future of Syria and resolving the Kurdish issue. He also stressed the importance of strengthening relations and fruitful cooperation among various components in order to promote civil peace and coexistence and protection of the region.
