53 thousand Syrians are entitled to vote in the upcoming local Turkish elections

ARK News: The Interior Ministry announced that about 53 thousand Syrians have obtained Turkish citizenship, pointing out that they were entitled to vote in the upcoming local elections.
Turkish Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu said: “53,099 Syrians have Turkish citizenship and can vote in local elections on May 31”.
It is worth mentioning that Turkey has received the largest number of Syrian refugees on its territory by 3.6 million people, according to Turkish Interior, and that 144 thousand Syrians are currently residing in refugee camps on the territory of the country.
