A new round of talks in Astana next February
ARK News: Russia announced that the next round of "Astana" to discuss the situation in Syria, will be held in the second half of the next February.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, "Sergei Vershinin": "The next meeting will be in Astana, roughly in the second half of the month of February and the work is still underway to set up appointments."
Vershinin pointed out that the international private Syrian affairs, "Geir Pedersen," envoy will visit Moscow mid this month and said: "We plan to hold a meeting with the UN Special Envoy to Syria Pedersen on the 21st of this month in Moscow”.
He added: "This will be the first visit of Pedersen to Moscow, so we expect that to share with us his vision of how to implement United Nations resolutions and to work towards a political settlement in Syria."
