Six Explosive-Laden Drones Intercepted and Destroyed Over Erbil
ARK News.. A Kurdish media source reported that several explosive-laden drones were intercepted and destroyed over the skies of Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.
According to Kurdistan24, air defense systems operated by the International Coalition successfully intercepted and destroyed six explosive-laden drones during the early hours of Friday, July 24, 2026, before they reached their intended targets over Erbil.
Since the recent resumption of military escalation between the United States and Iran, the city of Erbil has been targeted by more than 30 explosive-laden drones. However, air defense systems have successfully intercepted and shot down all of them.
