Syrian Interior Ministry Announces Foiling of “Sabotage Plot”
ARK News.. The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced that it had foiled a “sabotage plot” orchestrated by a cell linked to Hezbollah, in a joint operation carried out by internal security forces and the General Intelligence Service.
According to Syria’s state news agency SANA, a source within the ministry stated: “A sabotage plot led by a cell affiliated with Hezbollah terrorist militias has been thwarted through a joint operation between internal security and the General Intelligence Service. The group had planned to launch rockets outside the country with the aim of destabilizing the situation.”
The source added that the ministry did not provide further details regarding the operation.
The incident underscores ongoing security challenges amid regional tensions involving Syria and Lebanon.
