Israeli Army Transfers Prefabricated Units to Southern Quneitra Countryside
Welat TV – Erbil
Local sources reported that the Israel Defense Forces transported three prefabricated units on military trucks to Til al-Ahmar al-Sharqi in the southern countryside of Quneitra, Syria.
According to Russia Today, the move has raised concerns among local residents about a potential plan by Israeli forces to establish a new military position, adding to the network of sites that constitute Israel’s military presence in the area.
The source noted that these movements are consistent with previous activities, including repeated gunfire and shelling from the location. The eastern hill has reportedly been subjected to ongoing bombardment and serves as a launch point for Israeli patrols operating in the area. These patrols are based at Tal al-Ahmar al-Gharbi, which has also been converted into an Israeli military base since the fall of the previous regime in late 2024.
In a related development, an Israeli military patrol reportedly set up a checkpoint on Friday at the junction of Rasm al-Halabi village in central Quneitra countryside.
