Israeli Force Incursions into Rural Daraa
ARK News.. A Syrian media source reported that an Israeli army force carried out an incursion on Sunday, February 7, 2026, into the eastern outskirts of the town of Ma’ariya in the western countryside of Daraa, before withdrawing later after conducting search operations.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the mayor of Ma’ariya and Abdin, Muwaffaq Mahmoud, said that an Israeli force consisting of four military vehicles entered the town at around 2:00 a.m., reaching the first residential neighborhood from the eastern side.
Mahmoud noted that members of the force searched one house before withdrawing in the same direction from which they had entered.
In a related development, Israeli occupation forces had last month carried out a similar incursion into the Sariyat Jamlah area (Wadi Sariyat) in the western countryside of Daraa, where they established a temporary checkpoint on the Wadi Jamlah road and conducted searches in the surrounding area, before later withdrawing from the site.
