New Details on Israeli Army Operation in Beit Jinn, Southern Syria
ARK News.. Israeli media have revealed details of an operation carried out by the Israeli army in the town of Beit Jinn, southern Syria.
According to the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, the operation began around 3 a.m., with the 55th Reserve Brigade and the 210th Division conducting a mission to arrest wanted individuals in Beit Jinn, located on the slopes of Mount Hermon in Syria, based on intelligence collected in recent days.
The source indicated that the forces aimed to arrest two brothers, members of the Islamic Group, who had previously planted explosives and participated in launching a high-altitude missile. The Israeli army detained the two brothers while they were asleep, without resistance.
The source added that, following the arrests, as the soldiers were leaving the house, gunfire was opened from approximately 200 meters at a military vehicle blocking the road near the home. Six reserve soldiers in the vehicle were injured.
In response, the forces returned fire, eliminating several armed individuals. The wanted men were taken into custody and transferred to Israel for further investigation, while the injured reserve soldiers were evacuated by helicopter to Rambam and Sheba hospitals for treatment.
Syrian media, meanwhile, reported that nine people were killed and others injured as a result of Israeli airstrikes on the town of Beit Jinn and the road leading to the Beit Jinn farm.
