Large Russian Military Convoy Moves from Himeimim to Tartous
ARK News.. Syrian media sources reported that a massive Russian military convoy has departed from the Himeimim Air Base in Jableh, south of Latakia, heading toward Tartous province.
According to Syria TV, the heavily equipped convoy left the base on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Eyewitnesses spotted the column along the Latakia–Tartous highway, comprising cargo trucks, cranes, flatbed trailers carrying prefabricated units, as well as tanks and other military vehicles.
The destination of the convoy remains unclear, though reports suggest the reinforcements are likely bound for Russia’s naval facility in Tartous—a key hub for maintenance and logistical support to Moscow’s Mediterranean fleet
