Suwayda: Popular Protest Demands Right to Self-Determination
ARK News.. A Syrian rights source reported that dozens of residents of Shahba city in Sweida countryside staged a large-scale demonstration through the streets, carrying pictures and banners, calling for the right to self-determination.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights noted broad participation from various segments of the city, with chants in support of the community’s right to decide its own political future and destiny.
These protests come amid ongoing local discussions regarding civil and political rights in the region, alongside calls for increased dialogue between residents and authorities to address their legitimate demands.
