Syrian-American Alliance Urges U.S. Congress to Lift Sanctions on Syria
ARK News.. The Syrian-American Alliance for Peace and Prosperity has called on the U.S. Congress to fully lift sanctions imposed on Syria, emphasizing that such measures are harming the Syrian people and preventing them from reclaiming their fundamental rights.
In a statement posted Sunday on X, the organization said: “Syrian Americans are uniting from across communities to speak on behalf of the Syrian people in their quest to live free from sanctions.”
The alliance urged lawmakers to take immediate action to end what it described as “harmful measures,” stressing the need to restore the basic rights and dignity that every human being deserves.
Expressing gratitude to its partners and supporters, the group added: “Thank you to everyone in our community for standing with Syria and proving what we can achieve when we unite for the common good.”
