Aug 19 2025

ARK News.. A Syrian human rights group has confirmed that more than 100 people have been killed in northeastern Syria since the beginning of 2025, including women and children.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, at least 97 murders were documented in the first eight months of the year, leaving 112 people dead across Deir Ez-Zour, Raqqa, Hasaka, Aleppo, and the city of Kobani.

Deir Ez-Zour recorded the highest number of fatalities, followed by Raqqa and Hasaka, while Aleppo and Kobani saw fewer incidents.

The victims included men, women, children, and minors, reflecting both random and systematic targeting in some cases, amid a stark absence of accountability and weak rule of law
