Joe Wilson: Trump’s Syria Policy a “Brilliant Strategic Move”
ARK News.. Republican Senator Joe Wilson has described U.S. President Donald Trump’s policy in Syria as a “brilliant strategic move,” saying that a unified and stable Syria would mean curbing the influence of Iran and the Islamic State (ISIS).
In a post on the platform X, Wilson warned that a divided and unstable Syria could lead to chaos similar to that in Libya or Somalia, potentially paving the way for the resurgence of ISIS in a new form and strengthening the influence of Iran and Russia.
He added that while “perfect options do not exist,” the clear choice is to support Syria’s unity and stability for the benefit of all parties in the region, urging against missing this opportunity.
